They are not a character from some old James Bond flick nor are they a make-up company from New Zealand and although their band name would suggest something of the glam-rock flavour, Glamour Puss are none of these things. Glamour Puss are a five-piece band out of Moncton, New Brunswick with a sound that wavers between standard blues-rock and zydeco. The band, comprised of Ron Dupis (drums), Paul Boudreau (bass), Roger Cormier (keyboards), Dan Rodgers (organ/sax) and Travis Furlong (guitar), have enjoyed success over their six-year tenure. If bagging three East Coast Music Awards isn't enough to convince you, the fact that they have opened up for the likes of B.B. King and played their bilingual blues all over Canada and Europe to much applause should be enough persuasion. The band was also nominated for Entertainer Of The Year and Electric Act Of The Year at the 2002 Toronto Blues Society Maple Blues Awards. Quelle: Website von Glamour Puss
