Vidar Busk was born May 19, 1970, and is today considered to be one of the best guitarists in Norway regardless of genre. He grew up in Langesund, but moved to the United States as a 15 year old to play the blues together with American harmonica player Rock Bottom. Together they toured USA for many years before Vidar moved back to Norway and in 1996 he started his own band, Vidar Busk & His True Believers. They published the critically acclaimed album "Stompin 'Our Feet with Joy" in 1997 and then released two more albums, "I Came Here To Rock" and "Atomic Swing", before the band was put on ice in 2000.
Vidar then chose a new musical profile through the albums "Venus Texas", "Starfish" and "Love Buzz" and in 2007 Vidar's latest album, "Jookbox Charade", was released. He is known to tour a lot and has played most of the major festivals in Norway, Scandinavia and Europe. Vidar has received the "Grammy Award" in 1998 and in 2003. He also got the "Smuget Award" in 2004 and received the"Notodden Blues Festival" award in 1997.
