The couple Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks have independently made a name for themselves in the music world. Blues guitarist Trucks did so at the tender age of nine, as a child prodigy on the guitar. At the age of twelve he had already worked with Buddy Guy. Apart from having his own Derek Trucks Band, he toured with the Allman Brothers Band for many years before becoming an official member, which he still is. It was during one of their tours that he met Susan Tedeschi, already known as a blues and soul talent. She has several Grammy nominations to her name and was the frontwoman of her Susan Tedeschi Band. In past years, the lovers often performed on each other's records and concerts and even fused their respective band members under the nomer Soul Stew Revival. They have since formed the Tedeschi Trucks Band, that they will bring to North Sea Jazz just after the release of the debut album of this extraordinary duo, Revelator.
